About

San Marcos Interpreting was founded in 1996 and has been under its current ownership since January 1, 2009. San Marcos Interpreting is headquartered in San Marcos, Texas but provides service in all surrounding counties as needed. We are currently serving customers from Georgetown to San Antonio and Marble Falls to Giddings. Our office is open Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. However, we are accessible and service is available 24 hours a day / 7 days per week. San Marcos Interpreting is committed to providing high quality interpreting and impeccable customer service while maintaining the lowest service rates in the area. We believe in fair, honest and ethical business practices that foster positive community relationships and partnerships. San Marcos Interpreting strives to support our local community by giving back as much as we can. We proudly sponsor local schools, clubs and organizations. San Marcos Interpreting employs a full-time scheduler and contracts with well over 50 state and/or nationally certified interpreters who are highly skilled and excellently trained in their field.

San Marcos Interpreting is owned and operated by Cheryl K. Bailey. Cheryl is a native Texan and has lived in San Marcos since 1983. Cheryl is a graduate of San Marcos Baptist Academy and Texas State University. Cheryl obtained her Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas at Austin. Cheryl became the owner of San Marcos Interpreting in 2009. Prior to that, she worked for 9 years for the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) as a College & University Coordinator and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Cheryl has also worked as a Transition Specialist at the New Mexico School for the Deaf.     

Cheryl has two children, Bella and Ashton.
